PARITEL FINANZIARIA, the Italian Bologna based company with 700 employees and a turn-over exceeding 120 millions euro, has a been successfully managing long / medium re-launch plans of industrial companies for over 20 years. Its expertise has been concentrated in 3 sectors: Machine Tools; Packaging; Industrial Plant Automation. PARITEL first managed the acquisition of De.Ci.Ma (by merging DEMM and CIMA, leading manufacturer of gear-cutting machines), then of Morara (the famous Bolognese brand of grinding machines), now with the acquisition of Tacchella Macchine, the Italian leading manufacturer of grinding machines, Paritel has added a new piece to the IMT – Italian Machine Tools project.

TACCHELLA MACCHINE and MORARA-De.Ci.Ma are now merged in IMT – Italian Machine Tools, the Holding company of PARITEL operating in the world of machine tools. Alberto Tacchella – with other members of the Tacchella family have invested in IMT by acquiring a major part of the share-holding.

IMT – Italian Machine Tools, with the brand-names Morara-De.Ci.Ma and Tacchella Macchine has emerged as “the new player” with a very comprehensive product range in the world of grinding machines, able to compete by excellence in the global market place. With Morara playing a strong role in the so-called “BRIC” area (Brazil, Russia, India and China) with internal grinding machines, heavy-duty machines for naval and railway sectors and special application grinders and the leading role of Tacchella Macchine in Europe, with solutions for high volume production, automotive and aerospace industries and with universal grinding machines for high precision engineering. Finally, the Italian market where Morara and Tacchella together, are undisputed leaders in the sector of machine tools.

The IMT-Italian Machine Tools project is the realisation of an industrial plan in support of development and profitability, allowing business consolidation and the defence of trade-marks, aimed at creating significant advantages over competitors and to appealing to financial partners” stated Mr. Luca Peli, Chairman of IMT during his presentation.

It’s a positive decision in reply to recession, cast into the future, to join resources and win the global challenge with the intent to defend the trade-marks and the companies owning technological excellence. IMT is the first step of an alliance strategy which is already planning others” concluded Mr. Peli.

For its organisation, IMT’s basic aims are one single decisional business centre for all staff functions; a divisional organisation based in several production plants, with specialised and highly flexible and customisable products; the integration of sales networks, by the enhancement of cross selling; the increase of business profitability by taking advantage of the industrial synergies.

From 2004 until 2008 during my mandate as Chairman of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE”, the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots and auxiliary technologies, “I never gave up sustaining, supporting and promoting the alliance among the Italian companies of the machine tools sector” stated Alberto Tacchella, Vice-Chairman IMT and Immediate Past Chairman UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE “I was and I’m now more than ever convinced that alliances are the right way to defend and enhance the excellence of our companies.

Milan based ROSA ERMANDO www.rosa.it specialise in the design and manufacture of horizontal-spindle surface grinding machines for plane, profiled, multi-level surface & creep feed applications, universal machines for guide-ways & profiles and rotary table machines.

ROSA ERMANDO will exhibit two machines with the very latest Digital Linear Motor technology - on the X axis, the Linea R46 and STEEL Linear 11.7 CNC.

Digital Linear Motor technology has the benefit of considerable time reduction for table reversals by ensuring higher table speeds (up to 60m/mm). During plunge and reciprocating grinding the over-travel and the time for table reversal is reduced, independent of the work-piece length, enabling grinding times to be reduced by up to 40%, whilst still preserving the same quality of finished product.

Table positioning within a micron, which may be necessary when grinding slots or pockets in die and mold components.

Very slow table motion, even at a few millimetres per minute, which is typical for creep-feed grinding.

Interpolation of table motion with vertical motion of the grinding wheel, thus allowing geometry and accuracy levels which a few years ago were inconceivable.

Linea R46 for interpolation and creep feed grinding, with the latest  Digital Linear Motor on the X axis, travelling column design, high performance wheel drive 7.5 – 25kW, 1,500 – 6,000 rpm., HSK clamping system, sophisticated yet easy to use CNC control. Automatic grinding cycles for flat surfaces, profiles, multilevel surfaces, slots and shoulders – grinding has never been so simple! Grinding area 650x450 mm.

STEEL Linear 11.7 CNC with the very latest Digital Linear Motor technology on the X axis, for interpolation and creep feed grinding, carrying out concave (hollow) and convex (camber) profile grinding in both cross and longitudinal directions. Grinding area: 1,000 x 650 mm

ROSA ERMANDO will also exhibit:

Linea GOLD 20.10 CN: flat grinders for big dimension moulds: 2,150 x 1,100 mm with 30kW of spindle power and grinding wheel 600 x150 mm

Linea IRON 06.3 N: the smallest grinder in Rosa range: 600x300 mm. – very easy and simple to use.

Linea ROTOR 800 CN: horizontal spindle machine, with 800mm rotary table, providing benefits in production time and improvement in work-piece precision.

Grinding machine for surfaces and profiles, model STEEL LINEAR

from ROSA ERMANDO S.p.A.

The new Grinding machine STEEL LINEAR from ROSA ERMANDO S.p.A. allows both reciprocating grinding and creep-feed grinding (full cut) carrying out concave (hollow) and convex (camber) profile grinding both in cross and longitudinal direction.

The movement of the table is obtained by a digital linear motor. This permits a considerable reduction of the time for reversing the table motion by ensuring a higher speed of the table (up to 60 m/min). During plunge grinding and reciprocating grinding, the overtravel and the time for table reverse will be reduced. In this manner, independently from the work length, the grinding times are up to 40% shorter.

The cooling by fluid of the linear motor separates thermally the motor from the machine frame, thus offering positive effects on the thermal behaviour and thermal stability. Also the geometrical precision of the workpieces is ensured by a direct linear drive, so that components subject to wear (ball-screws, belts, couplings or cylinders) are no longer required.

The machine can be equipped with additional devices such as lateral grinding heads and dividing apparatuses so to grind complex workpiece shapes which before required several set-up steps. Thus the work-in-process operation can be avoided, and the output capacity of the machine can be increased.

This grinding machine may be used both for small and for large series as well as for single parts, where the complete grinding job can be carried out on the machine unmanned.

CNC unit mod. E.C.S. 2400D - ROSA SYSTEM V: CNC specially designed for grinding machines, having 6 controlled axes, integrated PLC, high-resolution 14” colour screen, integrated CAD-CAM system for creating profiles, dynamic simulation of the work and optimisation of the tool path. Programming of the machine is very simple and is facilitated by the use of interactive windows. Therefore also a traditional operator can easily use this kind of CNC grinding machine.

The cross axis and the vertical axis are driven by ball-screws and have double preloaded screw nuts. The drive is obtained by brushless A.C. motors and is controlled by encoders or, on request, by optical scales with resolution of one micron.

The spindle unit is an interchangeable cartridge type and runs in preloaded opposite contact bearings of the precision type. The spindle housing is made of special cast-iron having a low thermal expansion factor. The spindle is coupled by means of a motor cooled by a liquid medium.

The spindle motor as standard has 22 kW (options up to 30 kW available).

Grindable cube size: 1500x750x600 mm.
